About the Role
About the Position: This position are located at Outpatient Pharmacy at Evans Army Community Hospital Fort Carson, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as an expert on pharmaceuticals, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics in all patient age groups.
- →Knowledge of the drugs and pharmaceuticals available, their interaction, provides authoritative instructions, advice and assistance to prescribing and dispensing officials on effectiveness, suitability, hazards, and other aspects of their use.
- →Advise on the safe and effective use of drug treatments and alternatives.
- →Conducts necessary patient education concerning the medication, its administration, signs of reaction, and related matters Counsels patients on course of treatment, pertinent drug-drug and drug-nutrient interactions, possible adverse effects, and related matters.
- →Reviews efficiency of drug regimen.
- →Advises on alternatives and cost effectiveness.
