About the Role
About the Position: The incumbent performs duties as a Pharmacist at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service
What You'll Do
- →Provides healthcare to patients, specifically being concerned with the effective and efficient use of pharmaceuticals in treating the various diseases and conditions of human patients.
- →Uses an extensive knowledge of drugs and other pharmaceuticals available, their nature, actions, and interactions.
- →Provides authoritative instructions to prescribing and dispensing officials.
- →Serves on a variety of committees, boards, and other bodies representing the pharmacy.
- →Monitors the dispensing of all pharmaceuticals in the Military Treatment Facility and allied facilities.
- →Counsels on alternatives that will still satisfy medical needs in a situation.
- →Conducts training of students, physicians, pharmacists and other health care providers on the use of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
- →Participates in at least one of the following advanced practice activities, i.e. medication therapy, hematology/oncology, investigation pharmacy, and integrated pharmacy.
