About the Role
The Associate Chief of Clinical Pharmacy Service, is a licensed pharmacist responsible for assisting the Chief of Pharmacy in the planning, directing and coordinating of comprehensive and complex pharmacy activities at all Aleda E. Lutz VAMC sites through effective management of resources.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: The Associate Chief of Clinical Pharmacy, is responsible for providing leadership, direction, organization, planning, and implementation of clinical pharmacy programs across inpatient and outpatient services including CBOC locations.
- →The Pharmacy Service offers a full range of pharmaceutical and clinical services to include, but not limited to, unit dose dispensing, intravenous (IV) admixture program, and specialized clinical pharmacy services.
- →The Pharmacy Service has a robust education and training program, including a Post Year Graduate One residency program and serves as an educational program site for students from schools of pharmacy.
- →The incumbent represents Aleda E.
- →Lutz VAMC Pharmacy Service in the Medical Center, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN), VA Central Office (VACO), professional organizations, and the community.
- →The incumbent establishes, promotes and maintains positive relations, demonstrating sensitivity and responsiveness to their needs and concerns and functions in a manner viewed as being prepared, knowledgeable, professional, and responsive in matters of the Pharmacy Service and the medical center.
- →The incumbent demonstrates effective utilization of the core competencies; systems thinking, organizational stewardship, technical competency, service, interpersonal effectiveness, creative thinking, flexibility/adaptability, and personal mastery, in the leadership of the Pharmacy Service and in support of the medical center. h.
- →Areas of emphasis include patient care, patient safety, performance improvement, budgetary control, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
