About the Position: This a Patient Referral Coordinator (OA) position with the Jacksonville Naval Hospital. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD.
What You'll Do
- →Tracks and closes all specialty referrals for Right of First Refusal (ROFR), Veterans Affairs (VA) and specialty recapture cases.
- →Contacts patients, providers and other staff to obtain appointment dates/results and/or status of request for referral.
- →Generates reports from automated health systems which assist the administration to in evaluate the referral program and any other duties required to complete the referral process and the continuum of care for the patient.
- →Ensures all specialty referrals are closed with either completed results or by the appropriate administrative closure.
- →Determines which referral results are to be documented with which ordered referral.
- →Resolves unknown or questionable referral areas through research.
