About the Role
You will serve as a Park Ranger (I) with National Park Service, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Division of Interpretation, in Medora, North Dakota.
What You'll Do
- →Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Develops and presents a wide variety of formal and informal audience and learner-centered interpretive experiences using a variety of fully developed interpretive skills, techniques, and tools delivered in-person and through interpretive media and technology.
- →Coordinates the operation of a visitor facility and/or information desk.
- →Develop daily work schedules that include tours of duty and location of assignments for the supervisor's approval.
- →Guides the learning of others through formal or informal methods.
- →Trains, mentors, coaches, and evaluates a broad range of interpretive programs and products conducted by fellow interpreters and critiques these activities recommending individual or program improvements.
- →Monitors and reports the condition of park resources.
- →Identifies Park resource issues or potential problems that can be corrected or mitigated by immediate attention and takes appropriate steps as needed.
- →Engages and interacts with local communities through on and off-site representation and interpretive programming.
- →Engages with new audiences and communities.
- →Coordinating and maintaining effective working relationships with organizations (e.g., academic and cultural institutions, state and local government agencies, special interest/user groups).
- →Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
Requirements

- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
