About the Role
This announcement is for the Park Guide, to clear ICTAP/CTAP priority lists. It is only open to current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the ICTAP/CTAP. National Park Service-wide (location negotiable). To see available parks and duty locations, please visit Find Your Park. What You'll Do
- →General knowledge of the various laws, agency policies, rules, and regulations which apply to theprotection of park resources and visitors to the park.
- →Knowledge of the types and extent of emergency operations which are carried out in the park and theskills and ability to apply, in a variety of emergency situations, the methods and techniques involved.
- →As assigned, knowledge of the Incident Command System, and basic skills in carrying out the range ofduties involved in all-risk operations teams.
- →Skill in meeting and dealing with people.
- →A valid state driver's license is required.
Requirements
- ✓Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Direct Deposit participation required.
- ✓Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

- ✓A typed list of courses, grades, semester/quarter hours, GPA, etc. will not be accepted.
- ✓Non-submission may result in being rated not qualified for the position.
- ✓Unofficial transcripts are acceptable, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.
