What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will serve as a Paralegal Specialist with the United States Attorney's Office, Middle District of Tennessee.Duties will include, but are not limited to: Independently performs legal research, and legal writing.
- →Prepares and organizes trial exhibits, documents, memoranda, reports and correspondence relating to cases.
- →Provides automated litigation assistance to attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom presentation.
- →Drafts initial legal and administrative briefs, motions, and correspondence for attorney review.
- →Manages discovery and evidence in electronic and hard copy formats.
- →Selects and interprets pertinent guidelines and policies that govern work assignments.
- →Provides automation litigation assistance to attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom presentations.
- →Participates in pre-trial witness conferences, noting any deficiencies in case materials (e.g., missing documents, conflicting statements) and additional issues or other matters requiring investigation prior to trial.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
