What You'll Do

  • You will provide first level supervision to civilian nonsupervisory staff positions (U.S. and Foreign National).
  • You will Provides second or higher-level supervision to the remainder of the assigned Detachment employees, which includes additional military leaders and subordinate military nonsupervisory members.
  • You will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee the work directly and/or indirectly through subordinate supervisors on a daily and long-range basis You will ensure proper organizational development and alignment of operations associated with the functional areas of the Detachment.
  • You will serve as the senior civilian interface and liaison with program managers and other high-ranking program officials at the base and 6th Fleet area of operations.
  • You will be responsible for managing the logistical and operations support, magazine, waterfront and airfield operations, and material maintenance for the detachment.
  • You will established requirements, work priorities and sequencing of operations, functional moves, equipment and material resources, and oversees other functions which affect the timely accomplishment of the mission.
  • You will ensure full support and compliance of explosives safety and Naval Occupational Safety and Health (NAVOSH) requirements.
  • You will oversee the Ordnance Qualification/Certification Program from all NMCLANT Detachment personnel.
  • You will be responsible for administering the annual Explosives Safety Self-Assessment (ESSA) program.
  • You will identify and implement corrective actions when deficiencies are discovered, provides interpretation and policy clarification as required or when programmatic changes are issued by higher authority.
