This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity, Defense Human Resources Activity. Defense Human Resources Agency's mission is to provide program support, information management, and administrative services to the DoD Components on human resource matters and to collect, archive, and provide management information, research, and analysis of human resources and other related functional area databases for the DoD.
What You'll Do
- →This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated October 15, 2021.
- →As a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST (DATA SCIENTIST) at the GS-1515-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Perform data analytics and modeling for assigned projects under the close direction of senior analysts or the supervisor, applying established analytical techniques to defined problems.
- →Assist in the design, build, and maintenance of data pipelines and analytic tools, following established data engineering standards, documented methodologies, and reproducibility practices Support the development of user-focused analytics and decision-support products to inform DHRA decision makers and policy analysts, with regular review and feedback from senior staff.
- →Assist in engaging with stakeholders to clarify analytic requirements, and prepare briefings, reports, and visualizations to communicate results for assigned projects.
- →Contribute to analytic project efforts-including cyber workforce and installation mapping analyses-by supporting project planning, tracking, and reporting, and assisting senior staff in applying new tools and methodologies.
