What You'll Do

  • Serves as administrative advisor to staff across MCI-West, providing guidance on construction, maintenance, and facility management operations ensuring MCCS adherence to applicable policies and regulations.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of internal policies, procedures, and standardized work methods that directly influence project management practices, fiscal accountability, and operational efficiency.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes complex data from multiple installations to ensure alignment with command priorities, funding guidance, and facility sustainment objectives.
  • Manages and monitors the full lifecycle of facility construction, sustainment, restoration, and maintenance projects through direct decision-making or indirect advisement to subordinate supervisors and project managers.
  • Coordinates regional initiatives to maintain compliance with federal, DoD, and Marine Corps regulations related to construction and facility maintenance.
  • Assists the Division Director and Deputy Director in developing strategic short- and long-term objectives, performance metrics, and capital improvement priorities.
  • In the absence of the Division Director and Deputy Director, attends meetings on behalf of the Division.
  • Advises senior MCCS, Public Works, Marine Corps, and Naval leadership through synchronization meetings, and planning and programming efforts at the local and regional level.
  • Responsible for direct supervision, mentorship, and performance management of personnel assigned to facility maintenance, construction, and planning and development functions.
  • Promotes collaboration and continuous improvement across geographically dispersed teams to enhance mission readiness, operational support, and customer satisfaction.
  • Major duties encompass comprehensive administration, coordination, and management of MCCS facilities, maintenance, and construction operations across multiple installations.
  • Responsibilities include oversight of facility repair, renovation, and new construction projects from concept through completion, ensuring all efforts align with mission requirements, safety standards, and fiscal constraints.
  • Leads and coordinates construction, repair, and alteration initiatives for administrative, recreational, and mission-support facilities, providing technical direction and oversight to engineering staff, contractors, and maintenance personnel.
  • Reviews, approves, and interprets architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical submittals to ensure consistency with design intent and operational functionality.
