About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX, and serves as an Office Assistant for a military medical treatment facility (MTF) with responsibility for the clerical administrative processing of forms, reports, and other materials to support events of health care treatment/services provided to service members (SM's) undergoing Physical Disability Evaluation System (PDES) processing. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Ensure that the service member is eligible for treatment/medical evaluation in accordance with agency requirements and established guidelines.
- →Coordinate with admin personnel, and with federal and civilian health care service personnel and administrators to elicit, provide and discuss details associated with health care benefits, and follow up medical treatment required.
- →Conduct a telephone or in-person interview with the service member for essential information, such or, name, social security number, unit address, and other details.
- →Schedule appointments with clinics for medical examinations and physician reviews of medical conditions upon request from the unit and as required by regulatory proceedings covering events of injury/illness.
- →Maintain an open case file for service members and ascertains the preparation and submission of the appropriate documents associated with PDES.
- →Receive all incoming mail/distribution and routes to appropriate office personnel.
- →Perform other clerical support tasks within the section such as ordering office supplies, inputting data prepared to report time and attendance for manpower staffing reporting requirements, answering telephone calls, and other tasks.
