About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Center for the Intrepid, in San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized
What You'll Do
- →Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, plan, coordinate, and administer diverse occupational therapy programs for wounded, ill, and injured service members and beneficiaries.
- →Actively involve in the preparation of progressive treatment plans, utilizing the full range of occupational therapy modalities and the application of extensive judgment, observation, and treatment skills within scope of practice.
- →Complete required data collection for workload management and analysis, and research studies as directed.
- →Use problem-solving skills to make recommendations for the use of various occupational therapy modalities as prescribed.
- →Implement designated treatment plans with the goal of maximizing outcomes and improving the patient’s functional independence.
- →Facilitate personal skill development as part of the CFI occupational therapy team to include in-service participation, student mentorship, and peer to peer collaboration.
- →Provide instruction to patients in a variety of exercise programs, functional activities, and activities of daily living to optimize independent living skills.
- →Collaborate with multi-disciplinary outpatient medical team and occupational therapy counterparts to ensure efficient and effective evidence based care delivery and outcomes.
