Join the Indian Health Service as a Nursing Assistant and support quality healthcare services for American Indian communities. Provide routine and moderately complex nursing assistant care and clinical support services in a healthcare operation while building a rewarding career in a mission-driven healthcare environment. What You'll Do
- →Applies standardized nursing rules and procedures to provide patient care based on patient condition and response.
- →Applies standardized nursing rules and procedures to provide patient care based on patient condition and response.
- →Provides on going patient and family teaching including diabetic self-care, wound care management, medication purposes to support continuity of care.
- →Collects and record vital signs.
- →Assists patients with activities of daily living.
- →Provides pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care.
- →Assists, prepares, collects, labels, and transports lab specimens.
- →Assists in the arrangement of clinic appointments and discharge of patients.
Requirements
- ✓Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S.
- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.
