What You'll Do
- →As a Nurse (Research Specialist) your duties will include but, are not limited to the following: Perform clinical trials duties in accordance with standards of nursing practice and the Code of Ethics and maintain awareness of what constitutes falsification of data or other research misconduct.
- →Coordinate and implement clinical research protocols.
- →Educate and counsel patients participating in clinical trials.
- →Work closely with a diverse team of health care providers to provide patient care and conduct clinical research.
- →Facilitate patient recruitment and enrollment into on-going clinical trials.
- →Ensure compliance with protocol and regulatory requirements.
- →Manage clinical research data and provide data quality assurance.
- →Assist in developing clinical research and protocol-specific standards of practice (SOP).
- →Develop, implement, and assess process improvement strategies for compliance with applicable regulations and SOPs.
- →If you are selected at the GS-11 level, you will essentially perform the same duties at the full performance level (GS-12) described above, however, duties will be less complex, and will be performed under closer supervision, with more detailed guidance.
