About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →NOTE: This is a multi-discipline recruitment that will result in the hiring of one of the following disciplines: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- →All Physician Assistants applicants should apply to posting: CBTD-12983890-26-CB There are 2 Nurse Practitioner positions located in Primary Care Service.
- →One Nurse Practitioner position is located at the Manchester VA NH location.
- →One Nurse Practitioner position is located in Women's Health at the Portsmouth NH VA CBOC location.
- →Both positions are full-time at 40 hours per week.
- →Included but not limited to: Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic health conditions with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention using evidence-based practice.
- →Develops and implements an individualized plan to achieve optimal population health and disease management Demonstrates leadership and works collaboratively with Primary Care Team and other interdisciplinary team members.
- →Orders and interprets labs, tests, and diagnostic studies.
- →Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions Initiates referrals and consults to specialty services.
- →Provides education to patients and their families.
- →Assesses and adjusts the plan of care as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes Exemplifies the ICARE core values of-Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence Work Schedule: Full time, Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Compressed/Flexible: Not Authorized Telework: Not Authorized Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓English Language Proficiency.
- ✓In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.
