About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →This CLC Nurse Practitioner is located in the GEC service line at the Manchester VA location.
- →This position is full-time at 40 hours per week.
- →Duties are Included but are not limited to: Provide comprehensive care to residents through daily medication renewals, assessments for acute and chronic conditions, wound evaluations and coordination, MDS coding, participation in clinical huddles, and supporting admission/discharge processes.
- →Responsibilities include weekly and bi-weekly interdisciplinary team meetings and process improvement initiatives, as well as monthly participation in quality assurance, behavior, falls, and clinical champion meetings.
- →Engagement in quarterly committee meetings focusing on dementia care, nurse qualification standards, and unit-based quality reporting.
- →Other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: Not available.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓English Language Proficiency.
- ✓In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
