About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, Tennessee. If position is part-time, 20 hours per week. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Provide comprehensive professional nursing care for patients in an Outpatient Ambulatory Procedures Unit (APU) setting.
- →Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- →Independently initiates and carries out a variety of age-specific nursing assessments in preparation for surgery.
- →Assist with management of clinical settings involving moderate sedation or anesthetic agents.
- →Communicate and consult with physicians and other healthcare personnel, make changes in the plan for nursing care, and resolve conflicts that arise.
- →Educate patients and significant others regarding surgical procedures and routines expected during the perioperative period.
