About the Role

This is a Nurse (Occupational Health), GS-0610-13 position. This position is located in the Bureau of Reclamation, Public Safety, Power, and Infrastructure, Safety and Occupational Health in Denver, Colorado. The incumbent serves as the Occupational Health Nurse Administrator for the Bureau of Reclamation, reporting to the SOH Chief.

What You'll Do

  • As a Nurse (Occupational Health) your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Establishing, managing, and controlling, the Reclamation Occupational Health Program and administration of medical standards.
  • Analyzing, interpreting, and recommendation courses of actions based on the result of medical surveillance.
  • Planning, mitigating, and resolving issues of hazard exposure and medical monitoring in concert with the Reclamation Industrial Hygiene Program to reduce the overall, known, and potential impacts to human health.
  • Advising, guiding, coordinating actions/identifying supporting resources, training, and educating management officials and others responsible for the planning, oversight, and control of hazardous work on related medical topics and considerations.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S.
  • Citizen or U.S.
  • You must meet time-in-grade requirement for Merit promotion as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
  • You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation.

  • PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.
  • GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study.
