About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in (OB/GYN), Directorate for Surgical Services, of the local medical treatment facility. The primary purpose of the position is to provide nursing services to eligible beneficiaries at the Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) clinic. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Implements, directs, and coordinates the nursing process in compliance with currently approved standards of nursing practice.
- →Plans organizes, develops, and implements methods of providing quality nursing care.
- →Maintains liaison with other health care professionals and community referral services.
- →Coordinates health care needs by making appropriate referrals as indicated.
- →Instructs patients and/or families in preparation for various tests, obtaining specimens, and initiates arrangements for follow-up care per order of the health care provider.
- →Assigns duties and delegates patient care to other clinical nurses, licensed practical nurses, and military hospital corps personnel, as indicated, with consideration of the qualifications and capabilities of the individuals.
- →Determines departmental staffing needs based on level of activity and available resources.
- →Plans, implements, and monitors individually structured clinical orientation program for all new staff.
- →Counsels staff concerning duties, responsibilities, and assignments.
- →Initiates competency plan for new staff.
