About the Position: These positions are located at Madigan Army Medical Center, within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, in Tacoma, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available
What You'll Do
- →Provide comprehensive and highly specialized professional nursing care to critically ill and/or acutely ill neonates and infants with potential or actual life-threatening health problems.
- →Administer a wide variety of medications, including rapid-acting, highly potent, and potentially lethal medications.
- →Plan, delegate, and direct nursing care, based on patient care requirements and staff skill levels.
- →Respond to emergencies, codes, or perinatal rapid response team activities throughout the facility.
- →Assist with complex and potentially life-threatening procedures such as the insertion of arterial and venous catheters, chest tubes, and endotracheal tubes.
- →Maintain stock levels of instruments, supplies and equipment to ensure its availability.
