About the Role
The Nurse Manager-Office of Integrated Veteran Care is the designated first-line supervisory authority and is responsible and accountable for the operation of the assigned unit and provides coverage for other Nurse Managers as needed. The Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for the direction and supervision of specific orientation, training, development of staff, and evaluation of individual staff performance, functioning as a role model, educator, practitioner and supervisor.
What You'll Do
- →The Nurse Manager-Office of Integrated Veteran Care duties include, but are not limited to: Follows the Veteran throughout the continuum of Community Care services.
- →Serves as a liaison for the Veteran who is undergoing care in the community and coordinates care for specified care.
- →Assumes role as the primary contact for patients/families/caregiver caseload if needed in an escalated situation.
- →Assists with tracking and monitoring metrics, performance improvement measures, and quality indicators for patients seen in the community aligning with VA policies with community standards stipulated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and VA policies.
- →Serves as a subject matter expert in guiding stakeholders on consult entry, forwarding consults to Community Care providers.
- →Ensures staff compliance with goals, nurse-sensitive indicators, and performance measures.
- →Provides oversight for the administration of leave, counseling and disciplinary actions and assists other Nurse Managers in coverage as needed for leave.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical evaluation.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
