About the Role
The Amarillo VA Health Care System, Amarillo, TX is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse Manager (Telehealth Manager) responsible for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. The Nurse Manager will work to improve clinical outcomes and access to facilitate care.
What You'll Do
- →The Telehealth Nurse Manager will provide care via telephone and/or video calls for triaging patients, providing education and monitoring data college and transmitted by patients.
- →Additional duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Develops, implements, and maintains processes and mechanisms for scheduling telehealth clinic resources.
- →Ensures that all telehealth clinics are authorized, use proper DSS coding, and in compliance with clinic telehealth conventions.
- →The Nurse Manager develops mechanisms to evaluate and monitor the quality, safety, efficiency, utilization, productivity, and effectiveness of Telehealth Services.
- →He/she will direct the identification and incorporation of computerized data and information management tools and systems required for clinical care, as well as management of workload and budget.
- →Consistently monitors utilization, fiscal impact, challenges, and outcomes of applications, shares and disseminates information for continual quality improvement.
- →Seeks opportunities for appropriate program expansion, including external support and resources where indicated.
- →Develops and proposes Telehealth coordination with facility leadership.
- →Develops a specific data collection and analysis strategy for all aspects of telehealth program evaluation, including clinical, fiscal, and satisfaction criteria for both clinicians and patients.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Telework: (Ad-Hoc) Determined by agency.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

- ✓The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), or Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) must be fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission On Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
