About the Role
About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Naval Hospital, Directorate of Nursing Services, Maternal-Child Infant Nursing Department (Mother Baby Unit), Agana Heights, Guam. The incumbent services routine and high-risk obstetric patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum period maximizing maternal and fetal health for patients within the Military Treatment Facility. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide comprehensive nursing care to routine and high-risk obstetric patients during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum period.
- →Provide routine newborn care and offers services based on patient's assessed needs.
- →Serve as a Charge Nurse, making decisions regarding priorities for patient care for shift assignments.
- →Administer oxygen, IV fluids, amnioinfusion, blood products, and prescribed medications to patients.
- →Develop nursing care plans, setting standards of care, prescribing special care and identifying specific nursing problems for all patients.
- →Provide education to patients, family members, caregivers, and other medical professionals or paraprofessionals.
