About the Role
About the Position:This position is located within the Directorate of Nursing, Mother/Baby Unit, at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) in Landstuhl, Germany. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Assist physicians during complex and life-threatening procedures, ensuring safe and efficient clinical execution.
- →Monitor and document patient status using the nursing process, including assessment of physical and mental condition, trending of vital signs, laboratory values, and continuous cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- →Prepare, administer, and manage pharmacologic therapies—such as antiarrhythmic, vasoactive, anticoagulant, and thrombolytic medications—while adhering strictly to the 6 Rights of Medication Administration.
- →Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource for nurses and paraprofessional staff, supporting skill development and adherence to evidence-based practice.
- →Apply evidence-based nursing interventions in the care of critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patients.
- →Utilize computerized provider order entry systems and electronic health records for documentation, communication, and training.
- →Participate in staff accountability procedures, responding within required timeframes during real-world events or exercises.
