About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located in Bethesda, Maryland at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
What You'll Do
- →Provide direct care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
- →Serve as a role model and teacher for other nurses and gastroenterology technicians.
- →Provide guidance and leadership to other professional nurses and paraprofessional personnel.
- →Administer IV sedation and monitor patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- →Assist with coordination of patient appointment and scheduling.
- →Monitor compliance of infection control guidelines for prevention of endoscopically transmitted diseases.
