About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in the department of emergency medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a term appointment, not to exceed 13 months.
What You'll Do
- →Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care.
- →Respond to all emergencies during the shift.
- →Mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
- →Take medical histories to acquire medically necessary information to assess physical and mental status of patient.
- →Function as a charge nurse on a rotational basis.
- →Participate in continuing education programs to update and/or maintain skills and knowledge to meet annual requirements.
