About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide Emergency Department (ED) clinical nursing care to patients of any age group.
- →Assess patient's condition, and implement nursing care plans.
- →Perform various pulmonary ventilation functions, and operate and monitor highly complex technical equipment.
- →Teach, onboard and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
- →Provide evidence-based instructions and education to patient/significant other and/or family members/caregivers.
- →Serve as a resource person for nurses and other health care providers to consult when particularly difficult problems in the care of patients arise.
- →Function as a charge nurse on a rotational bases and determine staffing requirements/mix and appropriateness of bed utilization.
