About the Role
About the Position: The work is performed in the ambulatory (AIC, Hem/Onc Clinic) and inpatient settings where there is exposure to contagious disease, radiation, chemotherapy, chemotherapeutic agents, blood products, infection, mechanical, chemical hazards. Gloves, gowns, masks and other personal protective equipment may be required. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide specialized patient care.
- →Prepare complex parenteral solutions with multiple additives; recognize medication and solution incompatibilities.
- →Prepare documentation of life-cycles of all forms of parenteral therapy.
- →Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications related to parenteral therapy and initiates appropriate nursing actions.
- →Initiate intravenous therapy in emergency situations.
- →Assist with the evaluation of the patient's health care needs and collaborate with Health Care Team.
- →Coordinate total patient care service while fostering multidisciplinary coordination across internal and external services.
- →Supply customer service principles to resolve conflicts regarding nursing related issues.
- →Participate in performance evaluations of professional and paraprofessional staff.
- →Maintain compliance with mandatory safety and infection control regulations.
