About the Position: This position is located at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, at Fort Hood, Texas. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Communicates with providers regarding determinations and situations, documents events appropriately.
- →Provides patient education as an integral part of the services offered.
- →Makes psychosocial assessment of patients to identify significant cultural practices, the ability to understand and cooperate, and expectations of care and coping mechanisms.
- →Accepts consults for the education of patients in the outpatient setting.
- →Coordinates patient referrals to support services provided through the internal and external community, or the TRICARE network.
- →Evaluates the effectiveness of educational activities.
- →Prepares and administers oral, subcutaneous, intra-muscular and intravenous medications.
Requirements
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Graduates of foreign nursing schools must have completed the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools Certification Program.
- ✓The certification program consists of a credentials evaluation, the CGFNS Qualifying Exam, and evidence of passing one of the approved English Language Proficiency examinations.
- ✓A copy of the CGFNS Certificate is required.
