About the Role
About the Position: This position is a Nurse (Clinical/Medical-Surgical) position located at Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point, New York. This position is a Temporary -- Not to Exceed One (1) Year. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Manage the care of patients with complex and multifaceted medical and surgical needs, applying advanced clinical expertise and judgment.
- →Conduct comprehensive assessments to detect subtle and critical changes in patient conditions.
- →Interpret lab results and other findings and report them to the healthcare provider when those findings indicate a deterioration of the patient’s condition.
- →Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for high-risk patients.
- →Provide leadership within the unit, mentoring junior nursing staff and serving as a resource for complex clinical situations.
- →Promote quality assurance initiatives within the unit, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
