About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at the 59th Medical Wing Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Lackland Air Force Base for Joint Base San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Provide professional nursing care through the delivery, management, and coordination of care and services in a clinic setting.
- →Perform assessments by systematically collecting focused data relating to the health needs and concerns of an individual patient, group, or population.
- →Perform procedures, such as urinary catheterizations, visual acuity tests, Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG), blood glucose monitoring, nebulization therapy, irrigation of eyes and ears, intravenous fluid therapy, and wound care, etc.
- →Perform medication administration via various routes (e.g., oral, otic, ophthalmic, rectal, vaginal, intradermal, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, topical, etc.).
- →Provide health education/coaching to patients, significant others, and/or family members/caregivers.
- →Serve as a professional resource for in-service education provided to or by ancillary personnel.
- →Participate and provide feedback in the peer review process for professional and paraprofessional staff.
