About the Role
About the Position: Serves as Museum Curator of the National Mounted Warrior Museum. Responsibilities include long-range planning, development, coordinating and administering all matters pertaining to the museum operation.
What You'll Do
- →Determines and plans for the nature and scope of museums projects and activities.
- →Assures compliance with safety, security, and other applicable military regulations and federal laws.
- →Exercises control responsibility over rare and valuable graphic, pictorial, and artifactitious items on display and in storage.
- →Responsible for the acquisition of historical information, artifacts and for the implementation of appropriate collection policies.
- →Prepares operating budget and coordinates the expenditure of appropriated funds.
- →Performs extensive and detailed background research required to authenticate and document artifacts.
- →Determines exhibit policy and is responsible for the development of overall exhibit designs, limited only by administrative controls such as available space, budget, and agency policy.
