About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th AFSB, Ammunition Branch, Fort Stewart, GA.
What You'll Do
- →Inspect vehicles transporting ammunition to ensure the vehicle is mechanically safe to transport ammunition and that the ammunition loaded on vehicle is compatible, properly loaded and secured, and appropriate placarding is in place.
- →Use automated / manual inventory systems to maintain records.
- →Periodically inspects ammunition magazines to ensure that ammunition is packaged, marked, and stored IAW applicable regulations Conducts visual type of inspections of ammunition ensuring packages and marks ammunition in accordance with regulations.
- →Operate electric, gasoline, or diesel-powered forklift trucks in order to lift loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds and as high as 168 inches.
- →Ensure ammunition items are appropriately stored in correct areas.
