About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV, and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center. Employees work Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and childcare available. Mass transportation is available at minimal cost. Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.
What You'll Do
- →Operate heavy mobile cranes to transport equipment within close-tolerance staging areas.
- →Inspect lifting points to identify potential issues prior to conducting movement operations.
- →Assemble complex rigging configurations to secure heavy equipment.
- →Use high-capacity forklifts to transition cargo across a variety of terrain.
- →Navigate truck tractors to deliver a variety of goods within the depot industrial area Follow safety rules and regulations when operating mobile equipment.
