About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Del Rio Sector, Mission Readiness Operations Division, located in Del Rio, TX. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • In this Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in planning and carrying out a wide variety of mission support, administrative management, and program planning activities related to the missions and functions of the agency.
  • This position starts at a salary of $89,508.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $116,362.00 (GS-12, Step 10).
  • Typical duties of this assignment include: Providing senior level advice on staffing, finance, logistics, and other general administrative matters.
  • Participating and contributing to management decisions in assigned program areas.
  • Applying a wide range of concepts, laws, policies, practices, and analytical diagnostic methods and techniques to address substantive complex issues, problems, and sensitive matters.
