About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, Three Points Station, located in Tucson, AZ. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • This position starts at a salary of $62,893.00 (GS-09, Step 1) to $98,928.00 (GS-11, Step 10) with promotion potential to $98,928.00 (GS-11 Step 10).

  • In this Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in carrying out a wide variety of mission support, workforce management, staffing and position management, administrative research, logistics, and other program planning activities related to the missions and functions of the agency.
  • Typical duties and responsibilities include: Conducting records management for various activities, performing audits, and extracting reports.
  • Preparing briefings and reports for management to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommending future operational needs.
  • Developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for program implementation, and developing criteria for evaluating effectiveness of current and proposed processes.
  • Coordinating inter-related issues involving personnel management and administrative circumstances and/or situations.
  • Formulating, presenting, monitoring, advising, and reporting on the division and sector's workforce management programs, planning, and performance planning operations.
