As a Mission Support Specialist, you will be responsible for a full range of administrative and management services, technical and analytical duties, a variety of liaison activities, and special assignments related to the mission of the Asylum Office.
What You'll Do
- →Provide support to employees, supervisors, and managers in mission support functions such as human resources, occupational health and safety, facilities management, security, procurement, asset management, and travel administration.
- →Develop, implement, interpret, and advise managers on administrative policies to improve efficiencies.
- →Exercise flexibility and organizational awareness, and collaborate across directorate lines to successfully carry out the Asylum Division's mission.
- →Research and analyze complex administrative projects and make sound recommendations supported by comprehensive reports, findings, or briefings utilizing various databases.
Requirements
- ✓Conditions of Employment: You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
- ✓Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- ✓This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
- ✓Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
- ✓Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
- ✓EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
