Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Laredo Sector at the following locations: Laredo, TX. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →As a Mission Support Assistant, you will provide clerical support and assistance in applying technical procedures, methods, and techniques in support of the mission and functions of the agency in the assigned Sector or Station within the U.S.
- →Border Patrol Mission Readiness Operations Directorate.
- →This position starts at a salary of $52,413.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $68,138.00 (GS-07, Step 10).

- →Typical duties include: Assisting in developing new methods for automating administrative reports by considering the information, its uses, and form.
- →Providing broad assistance to other mission support personnel to include procurement of routine equipment and services, preparing purchase orders, assisting in identifying potential suppliers, and coordinating as needed.
- →Monitoring, receiving, prioritizing and routing service requests.
- →Performing other office automation tasks, in combination with clerical work performed as part of the general office support.
