About the Position: The Missile Defense Policy and Strategy Specialist, GS-0301-14, serves as US European Command (EUCOM) Chief of Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) coordinating with components, services, allies, OSW, and USEUCOM directorates (e.g., ECJ38 IAMD, ECJ5 Plans and Policy, ECJ8 Future Capabilities), providing high-level technical and planning analyses for updating IAMD operational plans and IAMD studies for ongoing IAMD efforts in the EUCOM area of responsibility (AOR).
What You'll Do
- →Provide policy advice to the Commander's integrated priority list (IPL) for IAMD and other operational requirements processes.
- →Analyze emerging policy guidance, studies, analyses, and reporting to ensure command IAMD policy reflects obligations and evolving threats.
- →Incorporates national and regional IAMD policy into strategic and operational planning efforts.
- →Formulate program goals, plans, policy, staff assessments, and recommendations pertaining to IAMD policy in response to DoS, DoW, OSW, service departments (i.e., Army, Air Force, Navy), and command HQ taskings.
