The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a work leader, to provide training, certification and knowledge of Metallizing Equipment Operator working directly with journeymen and non-journeymen performing all tasks assigned to Metallizing Equipment Operating.
What You'll Do
- →Provides guidance and passes on to others instructions received from supervisor and gets work started.
- →Ensures that needed plans, blueprints, schematics, materials and equipment are available when needed.
- →Operates thermal spray equipment to build up surfaces of items with thermal, erosion, or corrosion barriers, using highly specialized coatings of metals, alloys, refractory materials, ceramics, resins, etc.
- →Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- →Sets up and operates equipment.
