About the Role
About the Position: Performs specimen collection, processing, patient communication, and test coordination while maintaining accuracy, safety, and laboratory quality standards. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Collect and process blood and other specimens using proper techniques, safety practices, and equipment.
- →Assist patients during adverse reactions and promptly alert supervisory staff when emergencies arise.
- →Receive and verify specimens from outside sources, ensuring proper labeling and documentation; initiate recollection when needed.
- →Contact patients for recollections with clear, timely instructions and maintain professional communication.
- →Order, accession, and prioritize lab tests; provide correct containers and preparation instructions; schedule testing appointments.
- →Monitor patient flow to maintain timely service standards and escalate delays as needed.
- →Process external test requests, distribute results to providers, and respond to inquiries about test orders or status.
