About the Role
The Charles George Medical Center is currently recruiting for one (1) Medical Support Assistant within the Community Care Service line. The incumbent is responsible for initiating and carrying out a variety of administrative and technical duties in support of the Office of Community Care Coordination.

- →VA Careers - Medical Support Assistant: https://youtube.com/embed/EE9c4XkaELo Duties include but are not limited to: The Medical Support Assistant is responsible for scanning patient records, scheduling appointments, including interpreting and verifying provider orders in accordance with VHA national scheduling guidelines.
- →Assignments at this level include, but are not limited to: scheduling, canceling, re-scheduling patient's appointments and/or consults; verifying and updating demographics and insurance information; performing basic eligibility, and preauthorization requirements for specific coverage.
- →Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Telework: AD-HOC Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
