This position is located in the Patient Admissions Section of the Crow/Northern Cheyenne Business Office. Patient registration and eligibility services are the key point of interaction with patients to obtain and process demographic and insurance information for alternate resources, contract health services and private/commercial insurance. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Eligibility Determination & Compliance - Determines patient eligibility per IHS guidelines, verifies Certificate of Indian Blood or tribal documentation, Identifies patients requiring pre-certification or prior authorization.
- →Insurance Verification & Alternate Resources Management - Verifies Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance coverage, maintains and updates alternate resource information in RPMS, identifies coverage limitations and benefit requirements.
- →Billing Support & Authorization Processing - Obtains signature for alternate resources and Contract Health Services, prepares and processes assignment of benefits forms, secures prior approvals and pre-certifications.
- →Data Management, Reporting & Coordination - Maintains, verifies and corrects RPMS data for accuracy, coordinates with medical records and nursing staff and completes daily/monthly inpatient census (202 report).
Requirements

- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.

- ✓Upon receipt of instructions, applicants must complete all required background investigation forms within five (5) calendar days of issuance.
- ✓Timely completion is critical to avoid delays in processing or a determination of unsuitability.
