About the Position: The of Medical Support Assistant (Office Automation) provides support to the A. T. Augusta Military Medical Center Fort Belvoir, Virginia, helping ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and facility operations. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD.
What You'll Do
- →Enter, manipulate and/or retrieves information and data from automated systems.
- →Complete request forms, manually or automated, for individual patient orders, blood work and other requests.
- →Maintain and monitor patient appointment or admission schedules.
- →Receive patients and visitors as the initial point of contact, in person or telephonically.
- →Obtain identifying information and determines the nature of the visit or admission.
- →Perform clerical duties inherent to the in-processing (reception/admission), care and out processing(transition/discharge) of patients.
