About the Position: Serves as a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) within the Patient Administration Department, responsible to department leadership for the administrative coordination and execution of the Suitability Screening Program (SSP). This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Conduct formal intake interviews with service members and family members, reviewing completed screening packages for accuracy, compliance, and administrative completeness.
- →Perform preliminary administrative screenings of medical and dental records against standard checklists to identify outstanding clinical prerequisites.
- →Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to retrieve and compile clinical data into suitability determination packages.
- →Review patient medical records to identify documented pre-existing conditions that require enrollment in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP).
- →Maintain a variety of statistical and demographic data to report on the overall status of the screening program.
