About the Position: This Medical Support Assistant (Office Automation) GS-0679-05 position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center - Director for Nursing. This position may require rotating shifts. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Maintain patient records in accordance with local guidelines and/or regulations.
- →Perform full range of receptionist, record keeping and miscellaneous clerical duties within the ambulatory clinic setting.
- →Receive patients and visitors as the initial point of contact, either in person or telephonically.
- →Perform clerical duties inhering to the in-processing (reception), care and out processing (transition) of outpatients, families/caregivers and guests.
- →Respond to emergency calls and notify emergency personnel.
