About the Role
The incumbent serves as an Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) in the Woman's Health Service Line (WHSL) who is responsible for assistance to Veterans providing a smooth process for the management of his/her outpatient appointments as well as support work in connection with the care and treatment given to the Veterans. What You'll Do
- →The Woman's Health Service Line AMSA will work with the WHSL Leadership team in setting priorities and deadlines and providing the input in problem solving on operational issues or procedures.
- →Screens incoming calls to determine if they can be handled personally or directs them to the appropriate team member.
- →Reviews the clinics appointment schedule to ensure that clinic utilization is optimized and effectively supports the needs of the clinics as well as the needs of the Veterans.
- →Develops and maintains effective and efficient communication with the patient, interdisciplinary team, VA medical centers, and other agencies.
- →Supporting patient safety standards using the correct Veterans Affairs identification of all patients.
- →Setting the tone for perception concerning quality of healthcare services at the VA.
- →Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Telework: May be authorized on an ad-hoc basis by the supervisory.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.

- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
