About the Position: Serves as an Ultrasound Technologist in a major Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), independently performing complex and highly specialized procedures for the Radiology Department. This position is located at Camp Lejeune, NC. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Perform a wide variety of complex ultrasound examinations of human patients to aid in the diagnosis of disease or injury.
- →Explain the ultrasound examining process to the patient.
- →Select, sets up, adjusts, and operates ultrasound equipment.
- →Extend and/or modifies the procedure to ensure full and accurate information.
- →Train radiologists, physician assistants, students, and other personnel in ultrasound principles, procedures, capabilities, techniques and equipment.
- →Perform operator level maintenance and care of equipment.
- →The ability to take backup call.
