This position supports the clinical and administrative components of the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Labs by performing additional duties such as inventory management, staff scheduling, and/or assignments; staff and student training and mentoring; quality improvement program initiatives; scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and other duties that support the immediate and ongoing needs of the department.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The incumbent is skilled to assist with diagnostic and advanced special procedure radiographic procedures in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and hybrid suites.
- →The incumbent is responsible for providing care as a member of the Cardiac Catheterization On-Call Team.
- →A 30-minute response time is required as a member of the On-Call Team.
- →The incumbent will participate in all in-service programs and complete 24 CEU's within the biennium reporting period to maintain the CVT licensure as mandated by RCIS (if applicable).
- →Meets the needs of customers while supporting VA missions.
- →Consistently communicates and treats customers (veterans, their representatives, visitors, and all VA staff) in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner.
- →Provides customers with consistent information according to established policies and procedures.
- →Handles conflict and problems in dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately.
- →Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., alternating call schedule, must be able to to report within 30 minutes of notification to report when on call.
- →Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
- →Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
