About the Position: Serves as a Medical Evaluation Board Assistant within a Medical Treatment Facility, responsible for coordinating and carrying out the administrative functions that support the Medical Evaluation Board process. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Performs administrative processing, coordination, and tracking of all actions required for Soldiers undergoing evaluation through the Army Disability Evaluation System.
- →Provides Soldiers with clear explanations of required forms, including intake and physical forms, to ensure all medical conditions are accurately documented and assessed.
- →Coordinates with physicians, physician assistants, and specialty clinics to ensure all abnormal findings are evaluated and all required consults are completed.
- →Prepares and assembles complete MEB packets, including Narrative Summaries, consults, coversheets, and permanent profiles, ensuring all laboratory studies, imaging, and tests are obtained according to provider requests.
- →Gathers historical data, develops statistical information, prepares data for analysis, and compiles information for briefings and presentations.
- →Requests medical records and searches for misplaced records to ensure availability for patientcare and MEB processing.
- →Provides patients with information required to ensure a successful visit and serves as an advocate for patients in transit by guiding them to appointments and admissions.
